Cask at CBC CG - London. Pours clear yellow with a foamy white head. Grainy pale malts and citric hops in the nose. Light sweet flavor with grassy bitterness, grain husk, dirty hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly astringent on the finish, with more grains, hay, lemon rind. So so.

At GBBF. endless summer a clear gold with a filmy head of foam. Citrusy grapefruit mild hoppy nose. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. The taste is bitter hoppiness but also buttery diacetyl which disappoints. Passable.

Cask at GBBF 2015. Lemony nose, honey, biscuity malts. Clear gold, low, thick head. Nicely grassy and fruity. Big bitterness. Smooth and full. Tobacco, grass.

Part of my 2013 backlog, and tried at the Peterborough Beer Festival 2013. Pale golden colour, white head. aroma has citrus and bitter peel. The taste has much more citrus, with a bitter finish.

Cask at Oaka, 17/09/14. Clear pale golden with a moderate off white covering of bubbles that veer ever edgeward. Nose is citric peel, melon balls, grassy, light bread dough. Taste comprises big lemon notes, lemon rind, citric tinged straw, faint tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy bitterness in the close. Ok GB but not as good as Oakhams usual high standards in this field.

Cask at Rushden Historical Transport Society Club. Light gold, not quite straw. Lovely gentle white head like a halo. Gorgeous aroma of sour apple, pineapple, a hint of lilac. Bittersweet, fresh and juicy taste with a perfectly placed bitter kick in the long finish. Citrussy aftertaste. The natural carbonation propels the body. All packed into 3.6%. The much-maligned golden beer has a champion in Oakham.

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - very pale golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon and grapefruit. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - fairly single dimensional but very good one dimension. Good texture too.
