Backlog rating from RBESG 2008: Orange brow, creamy head. Big hop, orangezest, roast aroma. Huge piny hops, citrus, orangepeel, hop oils on the palate. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Sugary roast retronasal. Very nice.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown with a large fine foam. Aroma of spices, roasted malt, dried fruit, some yeast and a little bit of alcohol. The flavor was surprisingly mild, given the 9.8%, easy to drink. Tasted coriander and other spices, raisins, fruit and some alcohol. Bitter finish, medium carbonation. Best before were May 2009, the beer tasted good more than a year after that.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet matly combined with notes of alcohol and over ripe fruits, and so is the flavor.

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots, orange peel, winegum and candy sugar. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, raisins, orange peel, liquorice and dried apricots. Lots of citrussy, almost resinous, hops in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet with a warming touch of alcohol towards the end. Excellent beer.

Thanks to Yngwie for sharing a bottle of this great brew. Mahogany body coloured. Decent beige head. Hoppy aroma with notes of dried fruits. Rich taste of succulent oranges joined by a dash of spices. Nice hop bitterness to a long tail [Oslo, 15.12.2008].

500ml Bottle (Tack Svesse) - Brown/red in colour with a slight haze and a foamy head. Very fruity aroma with raisins, sultanas, figs, dried banana and a hint of vanilla being detected along with a moderately alcoholic scent. Fairly sweet at first, the taste then becomes a bit hoppy with some roasted and vinous notes. The finish is fairly warming and sweet and the alcohol is noticeable but is not overwhelming. It leaves a nice bittersweet fruity and hoppy aftertaste. Quite distinctive and very tasty.

Bottle, 9.8%. OK hoppy aroma, grassy with some sweet spices. Powerful flavour, sweet maltiness, some malt syrup. Roasted, vinous aftertaste. Quite strong alcohol note, very peppery, but at the same time balanced by the maltiness. Also a little aroma hops in the aftertaste.
