On tap at the beer temple. Pours dark brown with little head. Aroma is spicy pumpkin, malty, sweet. Big body. Flavour is quite complex and hard to pin down exactly. Pumpkin and vegetable flavours, sour but not too much, spices. Get the BA, don't really get the rum. Sweetness and sourness balance each other nicely. All in all a lovely beer.

Keg at the indy man beer con, session 4. A nut brown coloured pour with a fine beige head. Aroma is earthy, brown sugars, vinegar spice, malt vinegar. Flavour is composed of semi sweet and sour, medium brown sugars. Vinegar, yogurt funk, musty funk. Palate is medium sweet and super sour. Abrasive carbonation. Big pucker.

Keg at IMBC. It pours hazy brown with a small beige head. The aroma is tangy, oak, vanilla, leather, perfumed, spice, coconut, pumpkin pie and earth. The taste is big, rough, acidic, rough vinegar, earthy, pumpkin, damp leaves, tangy, spiced, barnyard, oak, booze and leather with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting stuff, but too. Rough and acidic for me.

Keg at IMBC 2018, session 4. Pours unclear amber-brown with a foamy, yellowish head. Heart, plenty of gourd and pumpkin, lemon, tangy orange, moderate acidity, faint herbs. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Strong finish, some vague autumnal spicing in the background, maybe cinnamon, more citric bite. Fun stuff in a perverse way.

Sampled at Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017 - day 2. hazy caramel pour with a tan head. Notes of oranges, anise star, cinnamon, pumpkin, caramel, vinegar, mould. One of the best pumpking ales I have ever tried.
