0.5 l bottle from 'CraftBeer-Dealer.com', best before March 2018. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a little sourish, quite yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of pear, banana, clove and some honeydew. Moderately sweet, slightly sourish-funky, quite fruity and moderately yeasty-spicy taste of banana, pear, clove, honeydew and some citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly tart, quite dry finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. Slightly infected I guess, not bad but not a genuine Weizenbock as such.

500ml bottle. Immensely cloudy, dark golden to amber colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, off-white head. Fruity, wheaty, yeasty aroma, banana notes doing a banana boat credit, some yeast spiciness, a touch of papaya. Taste is moderately sweet wheat malty, lots of banana, some diacetyl, a minimally refreshing dash of lemon; slightly bready and minimally herbal finish. Texture makes one pondering if chewing or drinking is the right mode of consumption.

My bottle is a gusher. about ⅔ of the bottle end up in the sink. Very sad. The beer starts smooth and intense. Ripe yellow fruit, fermented banana, hints of milk chocolate on a full body. Sweet but not sticky, and still fresh and quite easy to drink. The afertaste is fresh, yeasty-deep, hints of sourness which makes it highly drinkable. Very nice Weizenbock.

Geruch intensiv hefig fruchtig, Geschmack sehr hefig, fruchtig, bananig, leicht würzig, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle. Pours with a lovely dark orange color and a huge and beatiful white head! This weizenbock is true to style, although a bit one dimensional in it’s dominating sweetness. Notes of clove, orange and banana.

Test vom 2.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,8,7,8,10,8 - 7,95
