(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 23 Nov 2017, as "Casino Best Bitter", I assume it's the same) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, roasted malt and toast. Malty taste with notes of dark bread, toast, dark fruit, some orange peel and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Cask at the brewery taproom. Pours clear copper-ruby with a slight, creamy topping. The aroma holds dried berries, lightly toasted grains, bread. Light sweet flavor with further toasted grains, dried berries and citrus, some orange peel, bready malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly leafy on the finish, with more toasty grains, citrus fruits, leathery berries. Good ESB, for sure.
