500ml bottle from Høgeren in Copenhagen. Beige head on a low-level. Dark brown body with a russet tint. Aroma of dark malts. Plain chocolate malts in flavour with some notes of spicies leading to a finish made up by bitter fruits. Well-bodied, but not that challenging (03.08.2007).

(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 19 May 2007) Dark brown colour with no head. No carbonation. Fruity nose with notes of dark fruit and caramel. Fruity taste with dark fruit, raisins and plums. Medium body, rather sweet. Rather one dimensional, and the lack of carbonation makes it quite flat. Nice taste though.

Cask at MacAle, Randers. Dark red bitter with a small, off-white to beige head. Hops, malt and carmel in the aroma, quite pleasant. Mellow, fruity flavor with caramel and american hops. Medium body and a sweet finish with some hoppyness. Nice one! (061005)

[Bottle 6.2 %] Red-ish brown colour with a rich head. Berries, caramell and hops on the nose. Malty flavour with a lingering taste of toasted nuts. A solid ESB.

Dark amber colour with small off-white head. Aroma has some sweet malts with hints of some toffee. Flavor starts sweet but ends in a nice bitter finish

(On tap) Bronze golden and unfiltered with a lightly, creamy head. Distinct - but not overpowering - bitterness and a struggling hop aroma that seems to fight for attention without really succeeding. Somewhat indefinable acidity. I believe this has potential for a lot more, but it’s not really there - yet. 170804

Amber colour. Caramel and earthy hop aroma. Slightly cherryish notes. Wet finish, though, with hints of caramel. This one disappeares.
