Pareto (Port Wine BA) is a monumental wee heavy aged to perfection in port wine barrels for 12 months. Decadent caramel sweetness cut with oak and notes of port wine. Luscious brew suitable for slow sipping.

Bottle shared with Nari and Undos, cellared this one for over a year. Eleinte sem az alap sor, sem a hordo nem volt kifejezetten konnyen kiveheto, de idovel mindketto megmutatta magat azert. Kenyeres-karamelles malatassag meglepoen sok csokival, es savas-bogyosgyumis boros jegyek jellemzik mind illataban, mind izeben.

Bottle from Beerdome. Aroma is strong wood with Port, grapes, red wine, caramel malt, red fruits, and noticeable alcohol. Flavour is sweet and a bit sharp. Body is above medium. Total Port barrel domination, could use some balance. Nice one to sip on if you dig Port.

Panda courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin! Dark brown colour, beige bubbly head and aroma of malt, molasses, caramel, dried fruits, port, oak, nutty. Taste is sweet, malty, with caramel, molasses, raisins, chocolate, port, oak, vanilla, booze, and roasty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying boozy roasted bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

the final release 2020 aroma of port wine, toasted and lightly roasted malts, fainter very nice notes of good quality chocolate and caramel, all in all great aroma. Flavor is sweet lightly roasted malty, a bit of fruitiness like raisins and dark dried fruits, a bit of wood, even faint charred wood, all the flavors are extremely well mixed up and none stand out, making the beer an exceptionally delicious treat and sipper. Sort of a dark malty barley wine with notes that reminds me of belgian quad and barrel aged brown ale. belgian quad is probably the closest flavor, but this one is smoother and less yeasty (in a good way).

Seems a bit overrated, it’s a good beer. But lacking pure cleanliness and crispness. Sterk ams

Bottled. Coppery brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is wooden, some mild red wine elements with port and mild spiciness too. Flavour is wood, dried fruits, some port wine, mild tannins, a bit toffee and some slight alcohol sweetness. A bit spicy too once it warms up.

0,33l bottle @ One Pint Pub. Pours very dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet malts with port wine and oak. Flavor is sweet malts, port wine, oak, alcohol. Good, but would likely be better without the barrel.

Poured from 33cl bottle (The Final Release 2020 version - bb 21/04/2025, batch 468). Dark brown with small off-white head. Plum and dark fruits, a bit of port booziness, and touch of caramel. Quite nice.
