Maximón is a Mayan deity represented in various forms - also as a beer. A complex, moderately spicy, smooth and full-bodied Baltic Porter. There's a hint of fruity chili combined with sweet and rich chocolate notes.

Tap at La Fine Mousse, 19th September 18. Pours very dark brown. Aroma is savoury, dark chocolate and soy. Taste is dry, vegetable, light chilli and green pepper, dark chocolate. Not at all bad.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter fininsh. Creamy palate. Chocolate dominating.

Bottle @Ulfborg Tasting. Black, small beige head. Aroma has cocoa and mild, fruity chili. Sweet flavour, chocolate, mild chili and a hint of smoke. Nicely controlled chili warmth. Good.

Bottle, 10.5%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and dark chocolate. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, little chili, cocoa, little dark fruit, sweet, slight chili burn and medium bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chillies, chocolate, licorice, hops and has a nice bitter finish with a balanced chili touch.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with a chili bite. 140918

Kakaowa czekolada, kawa, ciekne owoce, zboze, papryczki nieprzegiete, spoko cialo, ryli bdb++ piwerko. I do tego lekkie dosc w odbiorze. 3.9

Bottle. Dark brown color, light brown foam. Aroma: cocoa and chocolate, caramel, a little brandy, light pepper. Taste: cool, cocoa and chocolate, caramel, sweetly, habanero warming, very nice.

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of black coffee and roasted malts. Flavors of dark chocolate, slick roasted malts, chilli peppers, and sweet soya. Chilli heat is nicely balanced coming out late in the finish
