Half pint, cask ale at Thomas Frost, Liverpool Kirkdale before going to Anfield to support West Ham. Pale golden body, naked surface, dotted spots on the glass. Lemony hops on the nose. Moderate flavours of dusty hops with citric hints. Fruity bitter ending. Oily palate. Session qualities (31.01.2015).

Cask@The Kings Arms, Norwich. Yellow colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, bread, some herbs and mild doughy notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some fruity and floral notes as well. Quite standard golden ale.

Cask. A hazy light golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of lemon and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemon and hops on a lightly malty background, leading to a bitter finish.

(Cask at Swann, Liverpool, 18 July 2009) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, grassy nose with notes of generous doses of grassy, citrussy hops and lemon. Fruity, hoppy taste with lemon, grassy hops and a touch of soap (Brewer’s Gold?). Generous aromatic bitterness. Fairly thin, lacking some in the malt department. Lovely hop character though.

[Cask at the Three Guineas, Reading.] Hazy straw with a thin white head - fruity aroma - light citrus flavour with a grainy body - grapefruit bitter finish. Straightforward, but very good.

Cask, Swan Inn, Liverpool. Clear gold; plenty of fragrant hop in the aroma and flavour with a nice refreshing citrus tang. Gotta have a fat sack baby.
