Cask at the Equinox Beer Festival at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Pale amber with a ring of white head; curious, slightly spicy aroma; and a sweet, pleasant, floral taste; then a dry finish with a definite touch of elderflower.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 23rd July 2013. Amber with thin ring-and-film and almost no lacing. Floral hop and elderflower aromas. Fruity and floral in-mouth, with sweet elderflower, and lemon tang which extends into fruity finish. The eventual finish is somewhat grainy and bittersweet, and the mouthfeel is slightly zingy. Rated as a novelty beer.

Gravicask, shared by Finn, half-pint. Golden body, headless. Fresh floral fruity smell. Hoppy vibe with grapefruits and lemon. Nice bitter ending. Thin to medium bodied. Likable (Redhill Beer Festival, 02.11.2012).

Cask @ 3 Judges. Golden colour, offwhiteh head. Nose is vegetables, bit of malts. Flavour is malty, lots of biscuits, fairly bitter. Watery and one-dimensional. Fairly bitter finish. Really poor.

[Cask at the Bootleggers, High Wycombe] Rather anaemic golden colour, negligible head. Grassy hops, some light floral notes and a bit of wee-wee (well, like I imagine wee-wee would taste, I have no plans of actually trying it to find out...). A disappointment after their excellent Maximus.

Cask at The Guide Dog, Southampton- Golden in colour with a deliciously inviting elderflower aroma which is powerful yet not overwhelming. Lime can also be detected in the aroma. The taste is mildly sweet with the elderflowers being nicely balanced. Extremely well balanced and full of flavour for the strength.
