Bottle a while back, uk import, but source not now recalled. Poured a slightly hazy amber/red colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, sweet caramel, with light fruit. Quite heavy on sweetness. Light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture. Finish is finish and alcoholic.

Can. Pours reddish amber with airy pinkish off-white head. Clear aroma of some cheap fruit juice, with notes of yeast. Sweetish flavour of cheap juice and inferior yeast, with notes of metal and touches of hops and malt. Bitter, metallic and estery aftertaste. Poor. Now, here’s the important part. Years ago, when I was half my present age, a teacher of mine warmly recommended this beer to me. I lived in Poland at that time and paid what was a small fortune to me to get this beer. Deeply impressed, I genuinely thought the beer was delicious. So much so that when I first visited Denmark a few years later, I asked for this beer in a variety of shops but it was nowhere to be found. Finally, one evening in a drowsy 7-11 in Copenhagen, a young sales assistant kindly explained to me that the beer could not be sold in Denmark because it contained detergent. Well, she may not have known the first thing about beer, or just her English was not good enough, but... it tastes as if she was damn right.

Can from Brugsen, Copenhagen - Amber pour with off white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, vague hints of caramel, toffee, fruity, with metallic notes on the palate, artificial chemical nuances, rather unpleasant.

Pours a clear red color, topped with an average off-white frothy head that soon settles. Malty aroma, sweet caramel and slightly fruity. Taste follows the nose - sweet, some fruity notes and caramel. No real bitterness. A bit of a weird one, not really likeable.
