Sample from bottle, FØL 2013. Dark brown colour with a light tan head. Sweet aroma with roasted malts, licorice, coffee and chocolate. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture. Finishes sweet with chocolate, licorice, coffee, dark dried fruits, and a light burn from alcohol. Lacks bitterness to be "imperial".

66 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 2014
Aroma is rather nice with lots of licorice and some coffee notes. Flavour has ash, some licorice and distant tobacco notes. A bit too much CO2 on palate. Too ashy but decent anyway.

70cl bottle via trade with Christian Scheffel. Pours nearly black with a lasting creamy beige head and lacings. Nose & taste is roasted malts, coffee, fruit and liquorice. On the sweet side but however very smooth and tasty with coffee and liquorice up front. Vague alcohol, caramel and slighly ashy. Just as nice and drinkable as I expected it to be.

Bottle, 7.5%. Mild fruity aroma. Almost black colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is OK liquoricy, slightly sweet. Starts off with a bit of yeast flavour, tastes a bit like homebrew, but turns good after a few sips. There is a distinct alcohol flavour, but it balances the sweetness and liquorice.

Dark brown with a small off-white head. Fruit and licorice in the aroma, with a hint of apple peel. Sweet and fruity dark flavour with a candy like licorice, and sweet caramel. Too sweet for my taste.

(Bottled, brewed 05/2008, bryg #43). Thanks Timo A. Opaque black, small brownish head. Salt licorice, light coffee, vegetables in the nose. Licorice, yeast, sticky alcohol. Chalky and yeasty mouthfeel. Herbal/vegetably tone in the aftertaste. Not really a world class stout, but nice beer for slow drinking.
