Old bottle shared @Luppolo Station (Rome). Bruna intensa, schiuma avorio medio-leggera. Al naso note di frutta rossa sotto spirito, uvetta, pandoro, vaniglia, amaretti. In bocca è dolce, ricca, rotonda, finale appena amarognolo e lievemente acidulo, tanta frutta sotto spirito e vaniglia. Corpo pieno, carbonazione esile. Strepitosa.

Cloudy red brown beer with thick frothy biscuit coloured head. Nose of malt and wet dog! Creamy malt head leads to a softish palate. Strong aged malt with traces of chocolate. Some well repressed hops and a little aniseed. A well rounded and fullsome barleywine.

Bottled 25cl (batch #262, BB 10/2012) @Pikkulintu
Deep ruby color, small steady beige head. Malts, molasses, plums, dark fruits, some vanilla in the nose. Still quite sweet, licorice, plums, molasses (caramel), liquerish soft palate. It has just right amount of alcohol in the flavor. As description says, quite English style barley wine. Pleasant.

Bottled(250ml). -trade with faroeviking (thanks Jacob).
Dark reddish/brown coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, honey fruity nose. Very sweet, hoppy and dried fruits taste with alcoholic notes that can be felt from the beginning to the finish.

Bottle shared with ogivlado who got in a trade with faroeviking (huge thanks!) Oizred a brown-red opaque body with an off white medium to small head. Vinuous malty nose, some alcohol, raisins, dust, nice overall. Sweet taste, orange skin, bitter, dusty, alcohol, some aromatic herbal hop. Despite not exactly being my style, this is quite nice and I’m glad I’ve tried it.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Best before 02/10/2012. Batch 62. Pours with a small, vanishing, off-white head and a hazy brown body. Aroma of currants, some hops, spices, vanilla and driftwood. Taste is berries, caramel, and lightly charred wood. Syrupy mouthfeel, light carbonation.

Bottled. A murky red-brown beer with a huge orange-tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus, dusty hops, prunes, and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruits shortly followed by the alcohol that gives the beer body, and tickles the tongue. The flavor also contains notes of prunes, wood, and caramel. The finish is dry and alcoholic.
