500 ml bottle, bought at Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 6.5%. Brewed with bottom fermenting yeast. Beautiful dark amber to copper colour, moderate off-white head, nice lacing. Moderate aroma of caramel and leather, hints of spices. The flavour has notes of caramel, with roasty notes and moderate hops in the finish. Not bad.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of bread, nuts, dusty hops, caramel, and some alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel - almost butterscotch and alcohol as well as medium notes of malt, bread, nuts, and dusty hops, leading to a dry, nutty, and malty finish with just hints of bitterness.

Dark amber with a disappearing off-white head. Caramel aroma with hints of dried fruits and licorice. Very sweet caramel and licorice flavour with an unleasant sharp edge like hard roasted malt.

Bottle. A clear, almost copper-colored beer with a beige head. Dried fruits, caramel and some piney hops in the aroma. The flavor is much the same, dried fruits and caramel doing the malty flavors, and pine hops giving a fine bitterness. Full-bodied, with a lasting finish with malty sweetness, dried fruits and some bitterness trying to balance it. A quite nice strong ale. (090116)
