Commissioned amber ale with off-white, stable head and coppery amber colour, misty. Aroma of hazelnuts, caramel, grapefruit, mango, sage and bread yeast. Rounded fruitiness, dryish, caramelly and nutty maltiness, spicy yeasty notes, finishing in a dry grassy hop bitterishness.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark orange color, small white head. Smell is a bit stale, musty sourness of fruitpeel. Taste is also like sourish fruits and a bit musty and stale. Average body and carbonation.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy amber colour with a small to medium whitw head. Smells sourish, yoghurt, moldy, red fruits, dusty, yeast. Tastes malts, herbs, a minimal hint of sour. Thin body, dry, nice carbo.

14/VI/2012 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: no marking on the side of the bottle to indicate a date (2012-624)
Clear amber beer, nice off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, bit sour, overripe to rotten fruits, little sourish, bit chemical, paint. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, infection indeed, as suspected by the smell, rotten fruits, unpleasant bitterness, pretty sour, little bitter. Aftertaste: sourish, some mocha, bitter, bit chocolaty. Drain pour.

33cl.

Hazy orange-copper beer under a small yellow-beige head, fed by lively carbonation. Alcoholic nose (!?) in a liqueurish way, preserved oranges, and a faint sourish taint, like from pickles. Malts, caramel, and a sourish, citrussy/oranges’ flavour. Again liqueur-like flavour. Very carbonated MF, creamy, spritzy at the same time, and light bodied, certainly in the finish getting empty. Strange beer. I fear for a beginning infection.

Bottle, 4% at ZBF08. Sweet malty, roasted creamy aroma, a little vinous. Muddy brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is quite malty, sweet malt, slightly creamy. Good for its ABV.

ZBF2008: From 33 cL bottle, another new and out of programme beer presented to us by the brewer. Pours murky brown/redish with a lacing off-white head. Light banana fruity and mild spiced aroma. Is much the same with a light yeast flavour. Smooth finish with a lingering wheat note.
