On tap at Brew Festival. It's a black one, topped by a dense finger-thick beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has lots of chocolate, dark chocolate treats, a light burnt note and a good dash of toffee and caramel. Yeah, and vanilla. It's full-bodied, sweet and silky smooth on the palate, not too warming. Sweet flavor with dark chocolate, some roasted and burnt malts, vanilla, caramel and toffee and a light bitterness I suspect is just as much from the malts as from the hops. Lasting finish where a touch of diacetyl shines through. Quite delicious this one. 220429

Superficial festival rating at Brew Festival, Oslo 2022. Friday session. Black body under a small beige head. Nice aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate and some lactose. Taste has smooth dark malt, soft dark chocolate, some vanilla and bitterhops. Fine body and long lasting smooth aftertaste. Nice.

Kjerrheia 170420. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate. Flavor is vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt, coffe. Very nice beer.

330 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10%. Black colour, large tan head. Lovely aroma of vanilla, chocolate / cocoa, lactose and roast malts. Sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also hints of coffee and some bittering hops. An excellent dessert stout, but I won't guzzle a sixpack of these in one sitting.

Kalenderen viser mandag, og vi nærmer oss oppløpssiden i komfortsonens hovedmanesje. Ikke før er vi blitt beæret med en magnumflaske Kinn Desennium og deretter Kinn Humlevin før seremonimester Melberg kommer drassende med bokser fra et av mine desiderte favorittbryggerier. I kveld er der mange tunge øl for lette sinn! Sjokoladeparade de luxe, røde bær, milde urter og delikat hint av granskudd/furunål. Salikatt for en balansekunst. Og som vanlig et upåklagelig utseende.

Shared can at Mi2 at Cardinal 20.01.20. Very dark copper. Beige head. Strong aroma of dark chocolate and cocoa. Similar taste, with mocha beans, bitterness and hints of herbs.
