Bottle at Mason and Taylor. Amber orange coloured, very little head. Aroma is caramelly, quite sweet and boozy. Taste has a slight bitterness but the caramel sweetness comes through. Tingly in the mouth. Very very nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of O8 Epic on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. 2016 catch up - bottle at home - Feel like it’s trying to be a Duvel, but that is possibly just the bottle shape. A slightly odd flavour; bitter and yeast and not something I liked, but interesting to try.

330ml bottle from Fire & Ice, Narberth. Pours a golden amber. Sweet malt aroma. Taste is bright crisp farmhouse spice with a boozy rich hop profile, like a cross between a Saison and a Barley Wine.

med amber color. Big earthy nose with crystal malts and pine sticking up. The mouth show tons of earthiness, woodiness some what austere and hops back up the big malt with orange, apples and apricots showing up. Full bodied. Definitely English. Very interesting. The more i drank the more i groved on this

500ml bottle. Pours dark orange with no head. Aroma is burnt orange and paint thinners. Taste has burnt orange to start. Orange hop finish with some booze. Flat and lifeless.

Cask@The Rake, London. Orangeish golden colour with a small slightly off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is citrus fruits, floral hops as well as quite spicy notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Rather bigtime spicyness. Wouldn’t believe the 8 % ABV if I had it in a blind tasting.

A hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, A strange sweet malt with light fusel and wood extract, incense, strange. In mouth, a nice sweet and peaty sweet malt, smokey, veering on a rauch. Bottle at Mondial 2011, June 9, 2011.
