A glowing amber ale with fulsome malt flavours balanced by a strong hop finish from First Gold and Bramling Cross hops. The flavour is caramel and dark berry with hints of wood and toffee.

29/9/2023. Cask at The Lord Nelson, Ipswich. Pours ultra clear bright copper amber with a small frothy off-white head. Great looking beer. Aroma is malty, toffee, biscuit, fruity, bready, berries, yeast. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth, soft carbonation. Good example of a strong English Ale.

Cask at The National Winter Ales Festival, Manchester 18-01-07 Pours a hazy dark amber colour with a fruity and toffee aroma. Malts come to the fore, along with a surprisingly forceful bitterness, I found this to be just a bit too muddled though and having finished it have to confess to be just a bit disappointed.
