14/4/2018. Cask at the Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops, biscuit, malt, fruit and flowers. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly thin texture, soft carbonation.

Handpull cask at the Five Bells, Tydd St Mary. Md-brown with a hint of red. Clear with a small amount of off-white head. Woody and slightly astringent smell with a good dose of malt. Strong medicinal bitter taste. A hint of sourness in the finish. Good enough but hard to get overly excited about. Nice to have it about 1.5 miles from the brewery.

Cask at The Rothwell Charter (or Rowell Charter) Inn, Rothwell, Northamptonshire, on Bob’s birthday 10.06.11 Pours gold with white head, good clarity. Fruity with some honey and a solid middling bitterness, touch floral at times on nose. Nice. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

Cask (handpump) @ New Oxford, Manchester M4, UK. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (170108)

Cask gravity at St Albans BF 2007. Amber colour with lasting bubbly beige. Yeast, hop, some malt. Good bitter, got everything I would want from an English bitter. Good tingly hop on tip of tongue. Best English straight bitter of the day. Good toffee.

Cask at Peterborough Beer Fest. Amber colour. Resiny hoppy nose. Medium dry and meedium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Some caramelly malt flavours, but resiny hops dominate - especially in the finish.
