A Rainbow In Curved Air is the newcomer this week. We've really enjoyed our return to having a constant stream of West Coast IPAs coming out of the brewery. This time, we've given it the DDH treatment, a classic hop bill of Mosaic and Centennial to hark back to the West Coast beers that inspired us. However, we've used a lager yeast strain again to balance the resinous finish with a crisp edge. The result is like drinking liquid boiled sweets, marmalade and orange peel with a dry and clean ending.

Can. Evocative name! Sounds like a psychedelic cum early prog album from somewhere between 1967 and 1973! Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a thin bodied but pleasing creamy sweetness. Light crisp cooling pine. Good honey and floral sweetness, mild esters. Crisp pine and honey marinated citrus fruits. Light semi dry crisp finish, a touch of orchard fruits in the light crisp and semi dry finish. Interesting brew, anyone know what it's supposed to be? Honey beer?

Appearance is golden, clear, with a half-finger white head. Aroma is hop resin, citrus fruit, malt, orange, grapefruit hints. Taste is citrus fruit, hop bitterness, orange and grapefruit hints, fruit salad. Lingering hop bitterness at the end.

440ml can. Clear golden, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, resin, pine. Taste is citrusy, orange, grapefruit, piney resin, marmalade, sweet malts, caramel, mildly bitter finish. Medium bodied.
It's good but I dislike this trend of massively reducing the bitterness of WC IPAs and calling them Bright IPAs. Bitterness is an integral part of the style.

Pours ever so slightly hazed yellow gold with a thin white head. Big on boiled sweets, pear drops, bitter orange and then clean malt and caramel. Nice pine resin finish taking off the sweetness. Solid stuff

Tap at 73 Enid Street. A clear golden yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is pine, clear golden malts, subdued, west coast vibes. Palate is semi crisp, rounded light resin, moderate carbonation.. Flavour is composed of semi sweet z light weed, piney hop, weed.. Not bad.
