Bottled. Hazy brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is oaked, some coffee, mild toffee, liquorice and red wine tones. Flavour is red wine tartness with some wood, mild fruits and berries with some slight herbal and alcohol tones. Excellent sour Porter!

750ml bottle from Malt Attacks, I think this bottle maybe 4 years old now, BB October 2021. Consumed 9th July 2022. Pours a very dark brown. Aroma is funky, brett, caramel and roasted malts, taste is very complex, sour and bitter, first the the sour and then a bitterness almost herbal finish and linger, roasted malt layers, intertwined with tart red and dark fruits. Very interesting and complex beer. Only for the decerning connoisseur.

Bouteille (recolte 2018): Deep amber coloured with a ruby sheen, hazy, small and persistent eggshell head, complex sweetish-sourish aroma of chocolate and (sour) cherries, faint illusions of wood underneath; moderate sweet-sour flavour, only medium bodied, not overly soft; sweet and sour malty-chocolatey finish with a distinctive sourish-fruity-woody touch and a warming alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. A blend of a Flemish Red and an Imperial Stout..

2018 bottle. Opaque brown color with off-white head. Aroma is cherries, chocolate, dark malts, nice fruitiness. Taste is chocolate, not too much, cherries, a touch of balsamico, tobacco. Not too high carbonation, not too puckering. Lovely balance!

Bottle with the Ratebeer München group in Garching, Friday 26th November 2021. Pours dirty brown with a filmy head. Really bretty, really woody, tart, funky, dry finish, super dry. Bitterness plays second fiddle, but very decent.

75cl bottle (vintage 2020, bottled JAN 2020) from Prik & Tik Dranken Marlou as my beer from Belgium #2900 again as RB admin delete today 2 of my ratings for Hoegaarden Citrus 0,0% and Hoegaarden Rosée 0,0%. F: no real, some tanned bubbles. C: dark with coppery hue against the light, opaque. A: sour fruits, cherries, bit woody, blackberries, red wine, chocolate touch. T: full body, blackberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, caramel touch, bit chocolate yet not sweet, light fruity sour, Porter - Imperial with strong wild touch, woody, almost like Flanders Red / Oud Bruin, very nice beer, fully enjoyed.

2020 bottle, huge thanks Nino and Casey for sharing with us! Murky brown body, off-white head. Creamy aroma, a pleasant malty backbone is joined by berry notes, going almost towards classic Flanders red/brown area with the wild/funky notes. Soft, sweet taste, berries, wild/sour notes, extremely smooth, demonstrating more of the similar, with some bitterness (it had subsided already from the 100 IBUs I'd guess), mildly dusty. Very, very well hidden alcohol. It's a bit of a disservice to it to put it in the Imperial Porter category but there you go. A very interesting beer with aging potential!
