Medium yellowish, fine & dense head over pale foxy-amber beer. Sweet nose, pineapple ester, some discreet hops, freshly baked bread. Good British bitter characteristics, well-hopped; some dry, non-sweet malts and very diluted caramel. Refreshing. Light to medium bodied (which probably turns it into a strong ale, UK perception willing). Dry finish & aftertaste. Good one, for sure! Thanks to DeanS!

500ml bottle from Tesco, Ashford, Kent. Copper with a thin ring of white head; rich malt aroma; quite lively in the mouth with a sweet blackberry fruitiness, and a dry and nicely bitter finish. Very pleasant.

Bottle from Tesco. Deep amber with next to no head. Light malt and earthy hop aroma. Slightly sweet, biscuit malt flavour with a touch of fruit and a decent bitter finish. Good.

Bottle from the Woolpack, Banbury, Oxon had this 02-04-08 Amber pour with a busy white head. Reasonable bitterness, plenty of caramel, I kept thinking that this really doesn’t have the depth of flavour or keeps me interested in the way that other Purity beers do, but it was ok finished off a bit dry.

Cask handpull at The Wellington, Birmingham. Copper colour and as clear as a bell. Lasting beige head. Earthy fruity malty aroma. OK condition, quite rounded in mouth, with a nutty fruitiness in mouth. Nice strawberry jam. Finish has caramel and a slight earthy hop sting. Rather nice. 500ml pasteurised bottle 4.8%. Copper with lasting beige head. Very biscuity bitter, decent hop malt balance with some yeasty character. Not much in mouth, some biscuit, some candy sugar on swallow. Faint hop finish. No real kick. It’s a bitter.
