Golden glowing copper ale with a very small bubbly head. Not much pale character, very mild in this respect at best, but certainly an easy to drink session ale.

Gravity dispense at the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13, as Hadlow Bitter. Clear golden with a bubbly off white head that retains well. Nose is fruit, light veg, toffee - a little muted. Taste comprises toffee, malty, apple, fruits. Medium in body with moderate carbonation and some bitterness in the finish. Quaffable but a pretty basic bitter with little depth.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 10 Aug 2007) Dark amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with malty background, earthy hops and a distinct, slightly sulphury, Harveys character. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, orange and decent doses of earthy hops in the finish. Light to medium body. Not really a sensation, but nice and tasty session bitter.

Cask at The Wenlock Arms. Floral/fruit hop aroma? Reddish amber color. White head. Started tasteless for a second, then there was an immense burst of fresh, fruity flavor. Medium mouthfeel. The finish is dry, fresh, bitter. Excellent. Malt? What’s that?

Cask at The Pilot, Maidstone, Copper colour. Quite a light easy drinking session bitter. Nice hoppy aroma, not massive flavours but nice slightly resinous hops on the finish
