Angel Spoons. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and light, modest fine carbonation. Airy malts bring light creamy sweetness. Hops are floral and moderately bitter, trace of citrus and peel. Light appley tang before a seme dry finish. Fairly drinkable.

Cask at the 9 Gallon, Warrington on Saturday 28th March 2015 All told this is a very ordinary, traditional and somewhat boring bitter, lacks a hoppy, crispy bite, bit biscuity and malty as opposed to hop driven, fine. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

(Cask at Angleterre, 20121119) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and long lasting. Aroma had fruitiness and grain. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were hops, malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. A decent and dull English IPA,

(Cask at Edgar Wallace, Strand, London, 7 Aug 2009, as "Edgar’s Pale Ale") Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of grainy malt, citrus and apricots. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, dried apricots and earthy hops in a fairly dry, bitter finish. Light body. Well balanced, tasty and highly drinkable.
