Panda thanks to Cloin. A long time since I have had a Durham brew! Near clear gold beer, small bubbly off white head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Buttery oaky tinged light malts, a thin creamy sweetness and a whisper of oak induced vanilla. Nice brandy soaked ripe fruits, touch of unsweet marmalade. Light finish. The barrelling has kinda overwhelmed the base tripel, not sure anyone would care. Nice brandy barrel brew!

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed dark gold. Very decent white foam. Oak and and watered down brandy. Spicy wine notes. Orangey Christmas vibe. Dry and lightly bitter with soft baked apple sweetness. Easy drinking for the ABV. Great nick. Dry light bitter finish.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear golden with a persistent white head. Aromas of mixed spice, mixed dried peel, light warming booze. Taste is more of the same. Warming sweet finish. The oak is quite subtle, but the brandy comes through down the glass.
