Vom Faß in der Braustelle, Köln-Ehrenfeld (laut Aushang: 4,4 %). - Orangegelb, leicht trüb. - In der Nase deutlicher Rauch wie von geräucherter Forelle. - Im Antrunk deutlicher aber milder Rauch, gefolgt von warmem Malz, Honig und Karamel und einer angenehm säuerlichen Note zum Ausgleich. Die Rauchnote verliert sich mit der Zeit fast völlig. Mild rezent, leichter Körper, fast etwas dünn. Schwach bitterer Abgang mit Karamelsüße, kaum bitterer Nachtrunk. - Trotz „100 % Rauchmalz“ leicht zu trinken. Eher ein Helles mit Rauchnoten als ein regelrechtes Rauchbier.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of smoke. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of smoke, leading to a dry smokey finish.

Bottle [Thanks Koelschtrinker]. Unclear medium yellow orange amber color with a average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light smoke, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (151207)

Bottled (Vielen dank Koelschtrinker). Hazy orange colour, not much head. Aroma is mildly smoked with some malty and hoppy hints. Flavour is roasted malts, smoked wood and some mild hoppyness. Really balanced brew. Aftertaste is mildly smoked wood.

Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007, brought by Koelschtrinker: Poured a copper color with a white head. The aroma is that smoked bacon with wood. The taste is similar with burnt smoked wood and bacon.

From bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Woody smoke note and mild meady. Flavour is tarish dry smoked and with a woody note. Finish is dry smoked. Nice yet somewhat simple.

Fully hazy orange beer under small yellowish head. Smoked nose, with obligatory ham and beechwood, glowing embers, smokesalt. Smoked taste, mild but all the same convincing. Delicately smoked game or venison. Medium bodied at best, slick. Best beer I had from Braustelle - thanks to Koelschtrinker!

Sehr leicht rauchiger Antrunk, mild, etwas hopfig. Im Mittelteil kurz rauchiger, dafür im Nachgeschmack wässriger. Minimal bitter.
