En mørk og fyldig “bayersk øl”,med en god sødme, fra den mørke munchermalt og svag bitterhed fra tyske humler.

Draught sample at the brewery. Clear amber colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, toasted bread, liquorice, and nuts. The taste is sweet. Medium body. Drying fruity finish. Ok dunkel.

Friday 1st Feb 2019; 7th Pre-Brugge Bier Festival International Beer Swap, De Bierboom. This is one of the many bottles that landed on my table for me to try, it is OK to take a decent sized sample (within reason) because there are so many beers to share. Copper/Bronze with an off-white crown. Malty nose and taste with a little caramel sweetness throughout. A bit thin body wise compared to some of the beers that came and went around it on the night (Yes, I know it's really a dark lager and isn't supposed to be rich or slick in nature), but on another day it would have been fine.

50cl bottle from Cunningham - thanks!. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Malty aroma with roasty notes, dark bread, caramel and hints of dark dried fruits and spices. Sweet and malty, but balanced and surprisingly nice. Mild but pleasant bitterness. Easty to drink and quite tasty.

Bottled@EBF 2008. Deep ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild toasted notes along with some raisins, sweet malts as well as some toffee. Flavour is rather similar, but has a quite strong hopprofile to it, giving it some grassy and herbal bitterness towards the finish.
