A huge hop aroma introduces the "King of the Golden Beers". There is a hint of spice in the fruity flavour and a long finish that completes this classic beer.

Pours a clear golden colour with an average sized foamy white head with slowly settled. The aroma is grassy and lemony with some toasted malt notes. A moderately sweet and bitter taste, sweet toasted malts, light caramel, mandarin and lemon flavours with a zesty citrus bitterness.

Fra cask på The Mossy Well (tap takeover), delt med Steven: klar gylden med cremskum som varer. God maltsmak med overmoden citrus og noe urtebitterhet.

Cask at white Hart, Chobham. Not much aroma wise - some malty hints. Gold. White head - creamy but also blotchy. Starts off delicately: light bitter, lemony citrus. The lemon the really barges up front, gets sharper and tarter. Medium bodies. Slick. Soft carbonation. Astringent, as I mentioned it’s tart. Not the king of holds I was promises. However I noticed that it was first on tap about 5 days ago so may well have suffered for that. Became very one noted, as if lemon juice had been squeezed in.

Cask at the Jolly Sailor, Farnham, as Surrey Hills Guilt Complex. A pale amber pour with a ring of white head; grainy aroma; crisp, with a pithy orange citrus taste; and a sweet finish with some honey. A rather non-descript golden ale.
