Cask at The Market Porter, London. Pours deep brown with a small, off-white head. Living up to its name, this beerโs character is mild. Some pleasant dough notes, light butter, bread. Very subtle fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Perfectly acceptable.

Cask-conditioned at the Butcherโs Arms, Cardiff 19/09/09. Near black in colour with a decent, tight white head. Aroma of dark chocolate and nutty amlts. Flavour started sweet, with more chocolate, dark fruits and a leisurely sweet finish. Good.

Cask at Dr. Louise. Creamy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Moderate roasted malty aroma. Light hoppy. Moderate bitter flavor. Slightly roasted. Average moderate bitter finish. Thin oily palate.

From cask at Charlies. Pours dark brown with a small redish glareand a good, tan and light frothy head. Aroma is roasted, light acidic and malty. Bitter, roasted and light breadish flavoured. Quite dry and slight acidic finish.
