Keg pour at Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival. Aroma is grassy, hay--all hops. Appearance is golden brown without sparkle, poor head retention and mild lacing. Taste is medium bitter. Palate is average carbonation with a little bit of a zing. Overall, there’s no complexity here, this is as advertised--"hoppy from start to finish." Since I’m not a huge fan of this (perhaps I’ve learned that I don’t really like Cascade hops), this beer wasn’t for me. But, if you like this sort of thing, you’re going to love this beer.

Draft @ brew pub. Nice amber with plenty of retention, leaves sheets of lace down the pint. Nose is caramel covered hops. Flavors of pine hops, caramel malt and a slightly lingering bitterness. The bitterness does stack up and get stronger as it warms. It was a great way to cap of my meal and brewer. Peter can sure brew some beers.

A dark reddish amber IPA with no head. A lightly floral hoppy aroma with light caramel malt, smooth. In mouth, a very hoppy IPA, loads of grapefruits, lacking malt, drying the mouth, not bad but a bit imbalanced. Medium bodied. On tap at the brewpub, April 5, 2010.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A hazy copper colored beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of grapefruit from Cascade hops. The flavor is sweet again with strong notes of grapefruit from the Cascade hops, leading to a dry bitter finish, where the alfa acids makes their mark.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Haze amber, lasting bubbly beige head. A load of flowery grapefruit hop. Surprisingly full in mouth, decent syrupy toffee structure, herby grapefruit, not much condition, but a pleasant IPA and one of the few this week that’s had a good body.
