Sampled at the brewpub, pours a clear gold with some lacing, hazy white head. Nose is solid, pithy, lemon, orange, soap, pine, mild honey, hints of fruit. Flavor is solid, orange, pine, malt, honey, soap, mild herbs. Bitter finish. Easy drinker, but very solid.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes to the table a hazy gold with a small white head that leaves lots of lace. Nice sweet caramel and light fruit with aromas of resinous pine and grapefruit pith. The flavor is sweet caramel, light fruits and a touch of diacytyl. Before the resinous citrus pith onslaught commences. Its a touch bitter at times. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. English American IPA hybrid that does neither very well.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of hops, citrus and roast malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, toasted malt and a bit of pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

really nice local IPA, this is the best IPA on the east coast because its not trying to be a "traditional" english ipa andhave way too much malt, and its not a west coast IPA with tons of hops, when it says a mix of english and american, it really means it and it came out really well done.

Draught, third pint at GBBF, international bar. Clear, amber-brown body. No head. Intensely flavoured with American hops – lots of pine and citric fruits. Dry hopped ending. Grown up brew! Chosen as third best American cask conditioned beer at The Great British Beer Festival 08 (06.08.2008).

Cask (gravity dispense) at the GBBF 2008. ABV was said to be 6.5%. Deep golden colour, no head. Very nice aroma of distinctly fruity hops, notes of blackcurrants. Distinctly hoppy flavour with an assertive bitterness, notes of pine / resin and some grapefruit. Good beer, but I’d like even more fruitiness in the flavour.

on tap-pours a retaining creamy off white head and slightly hazy gold color. Aroma is citrus-pink grapefruit/pine hops (cascade), some malt. Taste is mild citrus, almost outdone by the medium malt backbone. Mild carbonation. Almost a real ale/cask character.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy - the hops giving it notes of grass, orangepeel, and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of citrus fruits, lime, grapefruit, and lemon, the malt making it almost chewy. The finish is dry and bitter. A very refreshing beer with all the citrusy notes.
