Our flagship beer - Hole Hearted is the bricks and mortar of our entire business, with a history going right back to the start. Fruity, floral, and delicately bitter, Hole Hearted was one of the first beers in the UK to use Cascade hops - now a ‘household name’ in brewing. It’s a pint you will return to pint after pint, all year round. This is our tribute to all things traditional in ale - crafted over 20 years and still going strong, flying the flag for Golden Ale proudly.

500ml bottle conditioned, picked up at Utobeer and sampled with Finn. With cascade hops this is a beer with the emphasis on hoppy aroma and flavour. Fresh floral to the nose and rich succulence of fruit in taste. High hoppy esters. Hazy organge in colour without any head. The beer has a citric finish (26.09.2006).

[Bottled] Clear golden, small head. Aroma of lychee and lemon. Sweetish with rounded mouthfeel and medium body There’s plenty of citric hops, but no overwhelmingly bitter finish. American style, but you certainly taste it’s English.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours amber golden with a slight haze and a small, creamy, off-white head. Fresh, citrusy, hoppy nose - typical Cascade. Medium body with weak notes of caramel. Fresh, hoppy, citrusy - and soapy - finish. But very quaffable and a nice session beer. 160206

Cask at County Hotel JDW Ashford. I am still learning to distinguish hop varieties, but now I think that I could spot cascades. Copper coloured, good distinctive aroma of cascades, slightly creamy in mouth. Citrus and slight herb. Good bitterness and finish with good strawberry/raspberry malt to balance it. Had to go back for another
