Cask@GBBF 2007 (backlog). Amber colour with a minor head. Aroma is nutty, caramelly, toffeeish and some slight wooden and mild earthy notes. Flavour is quite similar with nice bitterness to it.

Keg @ The Royal Oak, Oldham. Golden with a frothy head. Has a very pleasant malt hop infused aroma, although fairly bland in taste.

Cask at GBBF 2007. An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with some notes of hops and caramel as well as light notes of diacethyl, leading to a slightly bitter finish.

[i] Cask at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford 23-11-07 [/i] Poured amber small white head. Aroma bit malty otherwise little else. A nice simple bitter, that whilst uncomplicated went down very well. good balance between the bitterness at the end and the initial almost honey sweetness.

(Cask at Carpenterโ€™s Arms, Marble Arch, London, 11 Aug 2007) Dark amber/copper colour with brief white head. Fruity nose with citrus, orange peel and hints of earthy hops. Fruity taste with slightly malty foundation, notes of citrus and orange. Dryish finish with balanced doses of earthy/citrussy hops. Light to medium body. Well balanced, average bitter.

Cask @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear amber color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to short duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.
