A pale ale, light and refreshing on the palate but with a satisfying mellow hop character derived from a judicious blend of aromatic Saaz hops

8th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Clear gold beer. Manages to have a dry palate but still feel watery. A light hop touch, then water and a dry finish! Not much going on here!

Cask at GBBF08. Strange marcipan aroma. Clear golden colour. Small frothy white head. Good fruity flavour. Balanced off by a little rough hoppiness, but there is also a little sweetness.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 9 Aug 2007) Golden yellow colour with brief white head. Fruity nose with dusty hops and hints of citrus. Fruity taste with mellow notes of citrus, apricots and dusty hops in the finish. Drinkable but hardly exciting (seems I had a better cask than most at the festival).

Cask @ GBBF 2007, London. Yellow color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, sour, skunked ... bad ... Flavor is light sweet and acidic with a short duration. Body is light, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. :o(

Cask@GBBF2007. Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is rotten eggs, malts and some slight grassy hops. Very skunked. Flavour is eggy, hoppy, grassy and quite twistedly sweet. Worst cask beer I’ve ever had I think.

Drayght@Molly’s Yard, Belfast. Sampled at Molly’s Yard, Botanic Avenue, Belfast. This restaurant will soon start to brew beers inside their premises. You have to order food to drink, so I had a smoked Irish cod with this. For now their beer are brewed in Lisburn at Hilden Brewery. A bit hazt bright orange color, nice cloudy white head, lace. Lemony hoppy aroma, packed with bready malty notes. Light to medium bodied, decent malty base and well hopped flavor. Refreshing hoppy aftertaste. Good blonde etc, it would be nice to compare one thet will brew on their own.
