Bottle, 6.5%. Sweetish fruit aroma. Very dark brown colour, seems cloudy. Good frothy tan head. The flavour has a mild coffee note, a little chocolate a la Nesquick. Low bitterness. Clean lactose-like finish. Good.

Bottle. Pours hazy very dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, with touches of roast and chocolate, with notes of lactose. Sweetish flavour of lactose, caramel and chocolate malt, with notes of roast and touches of yeast and hops. Bitterish, roasty and estery aftertaste. Enjoyable.

Clear, nearly black with nice thick bwige head. Faint roasted aroma. Caramely flavour with notes of roast and chocolate. Sweetness is out of balance but otherwise a harmless brew.

Copenhagen beerfestival 2007. Creamy brown head on a opaque dark base. Light dusty sour mash and roast nose. Quite a bit of milk chocolatety flavor. Mellow creamy mouthfeel. Delicate flavour profile.

6% ABV (according to the program at European Beer Festival). Yngwie had advised me to taste a decent Munkholmer – the name is synonymous with non-alcoholic beers in Norway. Rusty-black body under a bubbly, beige head. Slightly roasted aroma. Dark malts accents in flavour with chocolate and coffee notes. Liquorice bitterness in the finish. Ok, and more than just quaffable (100ml, Copenhagen 13.09.2008).

Bottled (6.0%, thanks Papsoe). Deep dark brown colour, near to black. Small brown head. Aroma is oxidized malts, hops and mild alcohol. Flavour is quite oxidized and acidic. Roasted malts, some wood, alcohol and a bit earth. BBE was 10/07, so not too old...
