Bottle from 2010 Served on the rocks, pours a still reddish brown with a few stray bubbles coming out of the bottle. This smells a little like mulled cherry. There’s a syrupy cherry sweetness in the aroma that is countered with spices like clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. The flavor follows the aroma to a tee. This is quite sweet and syrupy with a mulled cherry flavor to it. The spices provide minimal balance to the sweetness that is Quelque Chose. Medium to thick body with a sweet syrupy mouthfeel. Interesting "beer" but honestly a little too sweet for my tastes. Some bubbles would have really help in my opinion.

Corked shared bottle at local tasting, bought at Ølbutikken (or was it Høkeren?), Copenhagen, may 2011. Sampled first cold, then hot. Auburn colour, no carbonation. Strong aroma of cherries, almonds, spices / spiced chutney and mulled wine. Sweet flavour, notes of cherries, spices and mulled wine. Better cold than hot. A pity there is no carbonation (bad idea).

750 ml bottle into tulip, bottled 12/17/2009. Pours hazy red orange color with hardly any head at all. Cork did not even pop off this one. The thin head does stick around for a majority of the glass. Aromas of big cherry juice, tart cherries, raspberry, herbal, light cinnamon, yeast spices, and a touch of vinegar. Awesome and well balanced aromas for a fruit beer, with a fair amount of complexity. Taste if big cherry juice, tart cherry, light vinegar, spices, grape, and a bit of oak. Lingering notes of cherries, spiciness, oak, and grape on the finish for a bit. Fantastic balance of flavors despite the sweetness of this beer; and it is not cloying at all. Low carbonation and medium-full body; with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel that is not a bad thing at all for this type of beer. Alcohol is well hidden at 8% with only a slight warming on the finish. Overall this is a fantastic fruit beer; with great flavor balance and no cloying sweetness. I really need to try this hot like is suggested.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear reddish-amber with almost no head. Very little lacing, medium body, smooth texture, and low carbonation. Taste is dark cherry (with tartness that peaks out at times) and some red wine. Flat, needs carbonation. Serve chilled not refrigerated or allow to warm.
