Bottle@ home. Pitch black body under a small beige head, slightly oily consistence. Strong and delicious aroma, lots of dark roasted malt, dry fruit, dark chocolate, some coffee, hint of vanilla and wood with a distinct alcoholic profile from aquavit. Taste is sweet and alcoholic with dark roasted malt, chocolate, dry fruit, wood, good bitterness, hint of vanilla and boozy aquavit. Full bodied with a fine, warming and endless lasting aftertaste. A solid and bold beer indeed, a delicious beer for sipping, just balancing on the edge of ‘too much’ but somehow managing to make a balance on the right side between overkill and amazing.

Black with a minimal head. Aroma is roasted malt, licorice, toffee and alcohol. Flavour is roasted malt, raisins, oak casks, aquavite and warming alcohol. Not bad but not great.

10/05/2025 Sample at Palace Hall, Malmö May tasting - dark roasted sweet malty with lots of rich silky smooth chocolate, some dark molasses, full bodied, Aquavit dark roasted sweet malty finish. Lovely stuff.

Bottle. Black with a dark brown hue. Small beige head. Intense aroma with dark dried fruit, booze, roasted malts, dark chocolate, hints of coffee, oak, some berry-like notes and hints of cellar (oxidation). Full body, warming, sweet and softly carbonated. Roasted malts, dark dried fruit, alcohol, booze, oak, blackberry, dark chocolate and some cellar and coffee in the flavor. Lasting finish. Not my favorite from the barrels at Nøgne Ø, but sure fine, and the alcohol is far from as pushing as expected considering the ABV. 250327
