Bottle at Chriso pre GBBF tasting 09. Not much of a weizenbock. Dark lager really. Bit too carbonated. Expected more from this brewery.

50 cL bottle. Pours murky dark brown with a huge tan head. Malty, mild chocolate note, slight spiced and light wheaty aroma. Flavour is hardroasted malt, mild smoke note and a smooth chocolate note. Ends with a lingering chocolate smoothness and a light bock alcohol feel.

500ml bottle. Dark, dark brown body, almost black. Big foamy, brown head. The head continued getting out of the half-empty bottle for several minutes. Without this volcanic reaction the appearance would be 5. Aroma is light roasted malt, dry fruit, leather and yeast. Flavor is roasted malt, burnt caramel, and roasted coffee. A nice beer with a balanced flavor and a bit aggressive carbonation. Refreshing and easy drinkable. One of my favorites from Haandbryggeriet.

Dark brown color; huge head, just foam. Very malty, both the aroma and taste, a lot of caramel, very sweet, but also some off-flavors due to the over fermentation. Uncontrolled.

Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Medium brown color with a large frothy fair lacing, mostly diminishing beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chocolate, coffee, sugar, vanila. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a big but fast disappearing creamy tan head. Sweet malty caramel aroma with some hints of licorice and yeast. Thick malty flavor with licorice and yeast, also hints of alcohol and dark fruits. Long warming sweet malty finish and some bitterness in the aftertaste.
