Bottled. An unclear dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and chocolate, as well as a slight note of burnt malt. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, roasted malt, and hops, combined with notes of citrus and chocolate, leading to a very bitter finish.

Bottle, 75cl corked. (as #59) Clear, mahogany pour with a big, dense, dense beige head. There’s a little bonfire-smokiness in the aroma, along with roast, coffee and some hops. Roasted, malty flavor with coffee and some hops. Full body. Yet another nice one from Bøgedal. (070608)
Bottle (75cl corked, as no 94) at Københavnske Øldage and by myself 070602. Dark ruby beer that looks clear. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma. The flavor is more fruity, but with coffee, chocolate and roasted malt as in the aroma. Full, sweet mouthfeel. A lovely rustic beer. Rating: 6-4-7-4-14-3.5 (070511)

750ml, Bøgedal Nr. 78, shared by jjpm74. Poured black with a halo lacing. Aroma is woodsy musk, kind of like roasty paint thinner. Taste is lightly oxidized chocolate. A bit thin on the mouthfeel. Finishes with a lightly sweet aftertaste. I was excited to try this (mainly because I never heard of it) but it turned out to be different yet uninteresting.

75 cL bottle (Bøgedal 78). Pours deep brown with a nice reddish hue and a dense light brown head. Hard roasted malt, almost coffee like. Flavour holds a smooth chocolate note and a light smoke note. Medium sweetness and a light woody note too. Ends with a smooth chocolate malt and a subdued fruity bitterness. Nice, although two months after bbd the carbonation seems a bit dull.7-4-7-4-15=3.7

(Bottle 75 cl) As Bøgedal Nr. 71. Black and opaque with a tiny, beige head. Aroma of burned malt. Rather full-bodied with roasted - and lightly burned - malty accents with a discreet, underlying malt sweetness. A touch of dried fruits, some ash and then a short, bitter finish mainly deriving from the malt. Quite well made. Courtesy of Myrup. 7/3/8/3/15=3.6 040307
