Brewed in small batches and matured in the brewery cellar, like a fine wine. Made from high quality English malted barley, Kent Goldings hops are added for bitterness and aroma and Bramling Cross to further enhance the character, resulting in deep, rich and complex flavours of sultanas, orange peel and plums. Enjoy as you would a fortified wine, in a wine glass or a brandy balloon, to concentrate its wonderful aroma.

27,5cl bottle. Trade with ChristianScheffel. Pours deep amber with a small bubbly off white head on top. Sweet and complex nose of fruit, caramel, buiscuit, toffee and a little port. Medium and smooth palate. Sticky. Taste is earthy, hoppy and sweet malty. A fine B.W where the aroma clearly wins.

Bottle, 9%. Weak dried fruit flavour. Cloudy dark orange colour. No head. The flavour is sweet and fruity, dark fruit and so on. Has a little toasted notes as well, balancing off the sweetness. The alcohol is not as distinct as could be expected.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Marked 20 Nov 09. Pours with no head and a hazy amber body. Banana esters, caramel, alcohol, vanilla and cinnamon comprise the aroma. Taste is bitter, a bit oxidized with some banana and malty caramel. Syrupy with very little carbonation but a ton of alcohol heat for a 9%er.

Slightly hazy amber with a tiny white head. The very fruity aroma has apricot, prunes, figs, with old wood, white port and just generally some alcohol. Sweet and vineous flavour, fruity and with a touch of chocolate and licorice in the finish. Huge, creamy mouthfeel.
