Brewed from the late 70s at Burton. In 2000, after Interbrew bought the Bass brand, production was switched to the Ulster brewery in Northern Ireland. In 2003 production and distribution was switched to Latrobe for a 12-18 period after which it reverted to the UK, latterly at InBev’s Samlesbury brewery. As of 2012, the US version was being produced at A-B InBev’s Baldwinsville brewery.

Ehhhhhh. Welll I suppose for a mass marketed brau she’s not all bad eh? A touch of bitterness and not totally awful, but really very inconsistent.

Bottle. This is another one of those beers that I feel used to taste better. This one taste like an English version of Bud or Miller. Very disappointed.

wow, i can’t believe i haven;t rated this before. Had on tap tonight. Nice amber color, good frothy head. Good hops in the nose. Slightly sweet in the flavour, slightly thin body, mild bitter aftertase. a good session ale, but gets kinda cloying after 2-3.

Bottle in the Marlin Club, Avolon, Catalina Island on 8th Jan 2020. Decent Pale Ale all round, got enough hops to battle with the malty base and just about the right blend of bitterness to keep you interested without blowing your head off with too many hops or stupid additives.

Pours light amber with a very thick white head. Malty, lightly spiced aroma. Taste is sweet with a slight spiced note on the back of the tongue. Palate contains malt. Good, drinkable beer.
