Bottle: Clean, amber coloured, smaller, quite stable off-white foamy layer, aroma like a heavy german Doppelbock: roasted malt, dried dark berries, caramel malt and alcohol; full bodied, a bit sticky, sweet flavour; sugary, dark-malty and alkoholic finish. O.K., not very great......

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge orange-brown head. The aroma is dominated by over ripe fruit, but also notes of caramel, berries, wood, and alcohol mixes in. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of alcohol, malt, berries, and over ripe fruits, as well as medium notes of cinnamon. The end is sweet with a light bitter note, while the alcohol leaves a burn on the tongue and in the throat.

Draught. Deep brown colour, small creamy head. A bit sweet and malty, but quite clean flavour. Well balanced with the alcohol. Creamy mouthfeel. Not bad.

Clear amber with off white creamy head. Aroma of alcohol, malts (roasted) and dark fruits - raisin/prunes. Warmth from alcohol. Spicy orange touch. Hoppy undertones. Ok body with a medium carbonation. Pleasant lasting finish (though the high abv.)

(Bottle 66 cl) Clear, nutty brown with a small, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel and quite some alcohol showing already here. Full body with sweetish roasted malt and some burned caramel. Almost sherry-like accents. A distinct alcohol burn in the finish. A hard to digest beer that is somehow rewarding if you allow it some time. Wonder how this bottom fermented Barley Wine will cellar. 281006

66 cL bottle. Pours deep amber red white light brown head (short lasting). Sweet smell. Round mouthfeel. Alcohol does surprisingly not dominate the taste, rather a very sweet prune and raisin taste as well as some malt notes. Too sweet for my taste. Beer gets cloying after only a small glass of it. Aroma almost only has the sweetness.
