Bottle, 2006 vintage. Clear, ruby beer with a beige head. Sour, roasted nose with some chocolate. Acidic, lightly roasted and coffee-ish flavor. Thin to medium body, and a sour finish with lemon and roasted malt. The bottle was not past BB-date, so I guess for an infection. Quite bad. Rating: 3-4-3-2-6-1.8. 070705
Bottle, 2007 vintage. A reddish dark brown beer with a small, beige head. Roasted malts, some chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Medium-bodied and dry, with roasted flavors dominating. Some chocolate too. Bitter finish with some bitter chocolate. It hides the alcohol well, but to sum it up, it gets too one-dimensional and quite boring to drink. 081128

660 ml bottle. Dark reddish body with a beige head. Aroma is a bit sour something. Flavor is something unpleasant, sour and watery. This got to be infected (bottle labeled 2006).
Re-rated 2008 bottle: 500 ml bottle. Dark, reddish brown body with a fine tan head. Mild aroma of malt and chockolate. Flavor is mild but balanced with malt, chocolate, liquorices and moderate hoppy. A bit sweet, quite OK but not outstanding.

A very carbonated beer, which result in a huge head when poured. The body is red-brown and the head is brown. The aroma is sweet malty with nice notes of chocolate and some roasted malt. The flavor is very sweet malty with notes of chocolate and roasted malt - I find the flavors closer to a schwarzbier than a stout since the roastyness is very subtle, but in the end it turns slightly more towards the stout style with a slightly more rosty character. A very drinkable beer, but also a forgetable beer, Iād rather have the macro stout (Royal Stout) that Niels Buchwald used to brew it has more character and more kick.

Bottle, 2005 - thanks to henrikb
Dark mahagony colour, big creamy golden head. Nice aroma: Roasted tartness, raisins in madeira, toffe. Roasted raisiny flavor base, quite fruity (oranges), a bit sherry. Slightly overcarbonated from the bottle for my taste - prefer to beat it out, then it has a nice and creamy texture. Heather honey finish, still some edges which I expect will vane with cellaring. A nice and easygoing imp. stout that does not hit you over the head.

60cl bottle brought back from Denmark by a work colleague. Very dark ruby/brown with beige head. Smokey charcoal and some coffee with a bit of hot alcohol on the aroma. I quite like this, especially in the mouth. Got a bit of tarry sourness on end with camp powdery coffee. Interesting beer.

(Bottle 66 cl) Unclear dark brown with a creamy, beige head. An extreme sediment makes this beer muddy an unclean towards the finish - no real aesthetic pleasure... Rather violent carbonation. Lovely rustic, sweetish malt aroma. Nice balance between the dry, hard roasted, bitter malt and the added cane sugar. The finish contains both sweetness and bitterness. An odd but somehow strangely attractive bird. 021205

Draught. Medicine or plastic aroma. Very dark brown colour. Quite sweet flavour with some plastic. Something is wrong here, but the brewer did not agree, so my rating stands.
