600 ml bottle, as Nørrebros Julebryg, now available in Norway at Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 7.0%. Cloudy brown colour, big beige head. Nice aroma of Christmas spices, some caramel and malts. The flavour is far less sweet than the aroma made me expect, fairly dy and "dusty" with some slightly sourish notes. Moderate notes of Christmas spices, but they feel kind of "out of place" without any real malty backbone. The hops are also very moderate. The mouthfeel is fairly thin. The beer is drinkable of course, but this is not Nørrebro’s best beer.

On tap at brewery in Copenhagen. Deep brown color, head was small. A lot of "Christmas" in the aroma. Sweet, spices, gingerbread. A little bit thin but still drinkable. A small glass of it felt right.

Flaske 0,5l. Dyp rød på farge. Uklar. Medium høyt svakt farget kremaktig skum. Krydret aroma. Smaken er balansert med frukt & krydder - litt julekakeaktig. Søtlig bitterhet i ettersmaken. God - men litt ensformig. KI=7

At the Ølfestival, Esbjerg, Denmark 23-10-09. A murky brown pouring beer with not a bubble or bauble in sight, if you’ll pardon the seasonal pun (Its a Christmas beer I understand) I fact this is really quite muddy looking, not particularly spicy on the nose. Taste is nice, soft in mouth with plenty of Christmas flavour of clove, cinnamon and some dark fruits. A5 A2 F7 P4 Ov12 3.0

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Dark coppery amber color with a strong beige head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel. Full bodied with frothy carbonation. Must be bottle conditioned. Flavor is peppery, spicey, somewhat roasted malt. Finishes a bit hoppy bitter, with some hot bits. Very nice.

Pours mahogany into a shaker. Gusher. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving spotted sheets. Ginger, cinnamon and clove aromas. Sweet and full, yet dry in the finish. Spiced pit fruits and caramel.

(Bottled, tap 10/2007). Courtesty of austone. Ruby color, small steady beige head. Light cinnamon, cardamon, sweet malts and cardboard in the nose. Quite caramelly malty with dominating cardamon flavor. Boring, plain Xmas beer. Propably fresh sample is more spicey.
