Bottle. Rating number 2011. The only time in my life when my rating will be the same as the year. Pours dark brown with off white head. Nose of Christmas spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, gingerbread and brown sugar. Taste is malty, muted Christmas spices, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Hazy red - brown beer. Soft frothy palate. Light malt with a sweetish undertone of milk chocolate. Nicely spiced with a little cinnamon and possibly other spices, but no drying or bittering effects. Spalsh of coca cola and then a dryish malt finish.

Bottle, 0,6 l. With no doubt a beer for christmas. Distinct smell and taste of brown christmas cookies, cardamom and cinnamon. Hints of raisin, bread and caramel. Only in season - December, otherwise it is a mistake to drink this beer. To much christmas!

600ml Bottle - Brown with fairly lively carbonation. Spicy, fruity and rather festive aroma with pine needles, Christmas cake, raisins, spices and caramel. The taste is fruity and slightly tangy with spicy Christmas cake, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel and dried fruit. Not bad and very festive, but a bit rich and sickly by the end of the bottle, so it loses a few marks in that area.

Medium light brown head. Hazy opaque brown body. Spicy cloves and ginger aroma, very harmonic. Dry cardamom and cloves taste with coke and soy sauce notes. Mid-bodied. Chalky mouthfeel. Dry cardamom and cinnamon aftertaste with spicy cocoa notes. A faint acidity can be made out. Nice, and highly drinkable. (0.6l bottle, gift.)

Dark brown beer with medium beige head. Dark fruits, well done bananas, syrup, some Christmas spices are found from aroma and it is overally strongly fruitkisselly. Flavour is strongly spicy, some cooked banana and in the end there are even distasteful peppery. Smooth and nice to drink as usually with Nørrebros beers. Unbalanced, too spicy beer but still there are balancing fruitfull.

600ml bought at Vinmonopolet. Persistent, off-white head over an unclear, dark orange body. Smell of semi-sweet dark malts mixed with a kind of tart spices. Spiced with cinnamon and added by chocolate malts and candy sweetness. Short lived, tart orange endnotes, but really not enough to counter the sweetness. A soft and dry mouth-filling palate promotes fine drinkability. Fits the season in some way (at home, Tromsø 13.12.2009).
