Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear copper colour, small head. Dry and really malty, yet hop dominated. Lychee and pine needles are predominant, and the finish is strikingly bitter.

Heavy, highly malty IPA, but those hops are their in abundance (as expected from this brewery) - looks, smells and tastes kind of like a lighter version of Bigfoot, which is a good thing - huge malt backbone makes this heavy and almost sticky - most certainly needs to be imbibed slowly.

Draught, Archer Ale House, Bellingham
Copper-amber colour with a caramel-tinged foam. Aroma shows caramel and toast, plus earthy hops (seems like a blend including EKG). Earthy, slightly pithy bitterness with slight cocoa character. A well-balanced ESB of an IPA.

Draft. Caramel color with a huge beige head. Tons of cascade hop aroma. Big fruity (citrus) flavor that yields to a nice bitterness. Maltβs in the background, but itβs there - balanced/well-done IPA.

Dark golden/light amber in colour with a nice dense off-white head. Aroma of caramel, strong malt and earthy hops. Medium-bodied; Strong earthy hop flavour with a superb malt balance. Aftertaste shows a caramel addition along with a subtle spice. Overall, good but not great. I had this pint on draught at the Pizza Plant in Buffalo, New York.

Tap in Santa Cruz: Hazy amber, lasting off white head. Hop nose. Scant hops in the flavor, not as many as their pale ale. Not one of their best

2002 draught. Wow, hop_sing really liked this one, i better try it again, but i had it on tap and was left thinking. whats so special about this? just another good AIPA. seems like SN ran out of ideas for this one and just made a modest traditional AIPA. certainly nothing wrong with that though. 6/3/6/3/12
Draught 4/16/05Been a looooong time since I had this last, so was interested to see it on draught at American Flatbread. Chewier, caramelier malt than I recall, with juicy hops flavor and light yeast nuances. Yes it is well made, but perhaps a touch two-toned (juicy/floral hops...caramel malt). But I like juicy, flavorful hops much more than I like beat you over the head bitter hops. Medium-full body. Golden-amber-caramel color, white head, some retention. Creamy mouthfeel. 7/4/7/4/14
