Dizzy In My Head is a collaboration with our friends at Belleflower Brewing out of Portland, Maine. They made the trip down to Hinesburg to brew this one with us, and now it’s ready to share with you all. Dizzy in My Head is an 8.5% Double IPA, brewed with a healthy portion of YCH Citra dynaboost and chinook on the hot side, and dry-hopped with Mosaic and Nectaron for a burst of tropical fruit aromas. Bright citrus, ripe pineapple, and juicy passion fruit lead the way, balanced by a resinous piney character and hint of guava. A smooth, creamy mouthfeel ties it all together, finishing clean with just the right amount of hop bitterness.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: murky pale orange cardboard color with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: pineapple sweetness, light passion fruit and another light note of nectarines; subtle grassy to lemony hops seem to be in the middle then a nice clean malt base
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet juicy quality: finishes pineapple-y sweet with the light lemon tones and passion fruit tones
Texture: medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; some smoothness along the tongue, low carb and a low hop bitterness
Overall: a very nicely done NEDIPA I would definitely come back to.

Can (3/6/25) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Cloudy dark yellow, no sparkle, copious floaties, thin, creamy head with good retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong sweet/tart orange, tangerine, bread. Taste follows aroma. Smooth texture, medium bodied, average carbonation, no sign of alcohol, finish as taste. Strong aroma and flavor, not terribly complex. Ugly.

Pineapple and some fermented tangerine. Slightly hazy golden pour without much head. Light hop tang finish. Some nectarine, indeed. Tap at High Side.

16 oz can. Aroma of orange rind, tangerines, apricots. Flavor is the same with maybe the addition of melon. Pretty sturdy amount of malt in the background. Finish does show a little bit of booze. Not massively, distracting, but there. Overall, it’s still packed with a lot of fruit flavor.

Draught @ Beer Run Harlem, Manhattan. Extremely hazy dark yellow with a foamy off-white head, mango aroma, adequate carbonation, mildly bitter unripe mango taste with alcohol undertones, orangey flavor, thin body, long finish. Potent and tasty.

Brewer's Tap draught, 3/19/25.
Moderately-to-heavily hazy, brass-golden. Medium-sized, white head, decent retention.
Sweet mandarin, pineapple and rich honeydew with big burst of honey from the malt. Some mango and unripe white peach on the end, with lower acidity. Pretty good aroma strength and quite clean. Well-backed by malt.
Very juicy, fruity, lightly spicy with strong melon. Hint of kumquat and maybe a touch of alcohol. Sweet white bread-like malts. Lingering pineapple, orange rind and melon. Just a bit all over the place for me. Sweet malts, sweet melon, bitter rind, alcohol, pineapple and nothing too cohesive. Messy, I guess, with alcohol lingering strangely.
