Anniversary week keeps rolling with Country Squire, the second entry in our Dashboard Series of West Coast IPAs, sparking nostalgia of family road trips and long summer drives in the way (way)-back seat.
Brewed with Citra and Chinook hops, Country Squire pours a light-orange hue with a brilliantly clear appearance. Lively citrus aromatics lead the way, while flavors of ripe grapefruit and zesty tangerine shine through. With a gentle bitterness and a crisp, refreshing body, it finishes clean and bright, perfect for cruising down memory lane.

Pale amber, with slight haze. Cat pee, lemon, clean pale malt. Bright, good balance. Medium bitterness. Where'd they get their 2015 citra? Well-balanced, comes together nicely. Good shit.

16 oz. can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of oily pine, light cat piss, some resins, and biscuity malt. Flavour is oily and dank, with that classic, early era Citra (cat piss), dank pine, oily resins, and just enough biscuity malt. Dank, oily, bitter pine; I don’t usually like Citra, but this is a wonderful expression of it. Trillium, give up the hazy BS; apparently you can brew great west coast IPA!

473mL can. Pours clear pale gold with a white head. Nose has both allium and dry woody pine hitting initially. Flavour is crisp and bright, the allium from the Citra is dry, almost like cat piss; the Chinook is expression is also great, loads of woody pine. This is fantastic, the hop expression is top tier. I hope this brewery brews more West Coast IPAs like this.

Pours clear gold into a willi. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel and pine aromas. Crisp with sweet pine, mango and melon front to back. Lasting earthy pith finish.

Canton draught, 3/25/25.
Clear blonde-brass. Small, white head.
Citrusy and clean with no weird medium malts and no resin. Bit of grapefruit, lemon, spice and white bread and honey. Seems balanced and malty.
Spicy and lightly floral with a light pine undercurrent, bit of earth, chalk and mineral. Malts are soft and reasonably deep, balancing the bitterness to enough of a degree. Lemon and spice lingering. Maybe a bit too heavy on the lemon-pepper spiciness, but otherwise well-done.
