Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a smallish, beige head. Amazing vanilla, Bourbon aroma - loads of licorice all sorts. Solid, malty, roast body, but not really rich and sweet, kinda dry. A little coffee, a lot of Bourbon. Slight roast bitter finish. I really like that this never went down the sticky sweet side, makes it so much more drinkable. Text book. 280219

Bottle. Black with a tan head that fades to a cm. 3+ Aroma is all additives really, but nice nonetheless - mocha, whisky, good vanilla. Smooth texture. Whisky is prominent but it's not overtly boozy. Vanilla and coffee are pushed into the background a bit and there's really not much grunt or bottom end from the beer. Finish is quite bitter. 330ml is far too much for me.

Fat Reza. Kolsvart. Mjuk krämig både i konsistens ich smaker. Yeeees

Bottle pour into tulip glass from Redstone Liquors, Stoneham. Appearance is opaque black with decent sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width foamy light brown head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong fudge/dark chocolate, vanilla, cherry, milder bourbon. Taste is initial vanilla, chocolate, lighter nuts, then dominated by bourbon, then fades back to chocolate and mild dark fruit with bourbon remaining present in the background. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with smooth, thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation, pleasant alcohol warmth in the esophagus, and fairly dry, mix of sweet and bitter finish, dominated by the bourbon and very late pleasant char. Overall, a decadently rich aroma followed by strong flavors with decent complexity though bourbon looms a little large and slightly overcarbonated. Will have to see how this ages as this was pretty young (bottled 9/28/18). Having last bottle 6/13/20 and the bourbon has calmed down quite a bit (as expected). Vanilla and cherry has subdued as well. I miss the vanilla and cherry but like the bourbon being less hot. Overall, I would still give it about the same score.

355ml bottle from Alko. Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, loads of bourbon, vanilla, rye, coffee, chocolate, hints of syrup and peanut butter. Taste is sweetish, slightly roasty and oaky with loads of bourbon, vanilla, rye, toffee, coffee, chocolate, licorice, hints of peanut butter and cocoa. Finish is smooth, sweetish and slightly roasty with some bourbon, stingy rye, wood, oak, toffee, chocolate, vanilla and peanut butter notes. Pretty straightforward, but nicely balanced bourbon BA IS.
