Not your typical red ale. It starts out simply enough: a pure, coppery Irish red malt base. A trio of US hops lends a bright, west coast twist to the nose, before driving caramelized orange peel into the malt body. The final turn comes from a hearty dose of pale and dark rye, which dries those burnt sugar notes into a toasted grain finish that always leaves us reaching for another.

Keg at the Gravity taproom, Budapest, 09/06/23. Hazed reddish to deep amber with a beige cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, rye bread, orange peel, candied fruit rinds. Taste comprises candied orange peel, pine needle, orange marmalade shreds, red grapefruit, biscuit, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced earthy hop bitterness. Decent.

Cloudy chestnut brown with a frothy tan head, dark fruit, some toasted malt and citrus on the nose. Smooth and softly bitter, with oranges, maybe some pine and toasted malt combining nicely before a dry finish
